Vermi Composting Demonstration Unit of 8 pits Vermi-compost available at KVK-Campus, Bikramganj
Soil Testing Lab Soil Lab at KVK, Rohtas was established in year 2009. pH, EC, OC, NPK, Sulpher, Boron, Zinc, iron etc. are measured in soil. Around 1500 soil samples are analyzed in year 2016. Approx. 5100 Soil Health Cards distributed among the farmers of the district and soil sample analysis is in progress for achievement of the target.
Farmer Guest House There is a Farmers' Hostel in KVK, Campus. It has 20 beds in this hostel for farmers and a well-furnished Guest room for Dignitaries. There is also a well managed dining hall in the hostel for 20 persons.
Field Farms The total area of under KVK farm is 10.0 ha. Out of which cultivable area is 8.25 ha, Herbal garden is in 0.25 area, Horticulture garden is in 0.5 ha and rest area is in path and irrigation channel. All cultivable area is irrigated through canal system. There is also a processing cum storage godown in 0.25 ha.
Video Conferencing Video Conferencing facility is available in KVK, Rohtas since 2015 and connected with Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour and other 19 KVKs under the BAU jurisdiction.
Mushroom Spawn Production Lab Mushroom Spawn production Lab is established 2013 and producing mushroom spawn for the farmers and farm women of the district. Mushroom production is popularized by KVK in the district and provides one of the critical input- Mushroom Spawn for mushroom production.
Fruit & Vegetable Processing Uniit Fruit & Vegetable processing unit is working for Skill development training & demonstration for Farmers, Farm women, Adolescent girls and Rural youths since its establishment in 2013. The facilities are available on various aspects of fruits & vegetables processing like Value added products of agricultural products, dehydration of seasonal fruits & vegetables through Dehydrator, Sealing and packaging of food products, Papad making through Papad Press, Tomato Sauce through Tomato pulper, Autoclave for sterilization, Aonla pricking machine for murabba making, Chips making through paddle operated Potato chips machine etc.
